AS Fittings
DMC’s AS Fittings are a titanium fitting series for use on applications with operating pressure from 3000 psi up to 5080 psi (35,000 kpa). The installation of DMC’s AS Fittings on titanium tubing is facilitated by use of DMC’s DAT08 Series axial swage tooling. These fittings are currently designed in the Boeing 787 Dreamliner Program.
AS Fittings provide a superior mechanical connection. High strength titanium rings are pre-assembled onto the tube fitting body to form an assembly. Axial movement of the swage ring over a machined surface of the fitting body compresses the tube and fitting, resulting in leak free, metal-to-metal connections.
DMC also provides the most widely used axially swaged fittings for airframe aluminum tubing applications in sizes -03 (3/16") to -32 (2") for operating pressures up to 1,500 psi. Contact DMC for more information on PermaLite aluminum axial swage fittings and tooling.
